I hope you’ve enjoyed learning about Haitian culture & seeing the fun that our Apparent Project kids have while learning & growing in a healthy environment.
It’s Friday, and today’s focus is on “Family!”
So many of our kids have been attending Apparent Project since they were babies or toddlers! Our childcare opened in May 2014 to help some of the “at risk” children whose parents couldn’t work without some help!
Meet Makensia & her twins! She was a struggling single mom. It was her situation that brought about the decision to start a childcare for working parents. It’s been 9 years and the twins are now students in our elementary school! They are thriving! They are family! And… so is Makensia!
Gloria was one of our original toddlers. I met her mom in 2008… a couple years before she was born! Gloria is in 5th grade this year, and a natural leader who will someday make a difference in her country! We are grateful for the opportunity to “sow good seeds” into her life & to watch her become who she is created to be! What a gift!
Then, there is John! He attended the childcare as a toddler. He also attended Apparent Project preschool and is now a student in our elementary school! What a character!!!! He always makes me smile!
Another set of twins have been part of the AP family since birth. They are now in the AP elementary school. Fransia & Fransley have a close-knit family. Five of the seven children attend AP programs. In another year or two we will have all seven Ambranne children attending AP!
These children are Family! Their parents are Family! Our AP Haiti Staff is Family!

We struggle each month to provide the salaries & expenses that keep our Childcare & Schools open. There are 10 “sections” in our AP Childcare, Preschool, Elementary… and Job Skills programs, which also includes computer training for children starting in 4th grade.
Each section requires $1400/month. ($14,000 total required each month.)
