Meeting Yvrose

Meeting Yvrose

Yvrose! It’s pronounced “Eve-Rose!” When I first heard her name, I thought it would be spelled the way it sounds to me… Eve Rose. Love her name! It sounds like the “Evening Rose!” It makes me think of someone who blossoms slowly, someone who is beautiful throughout the process, but gorgeous when in full bloom.

I’ve watched Yvrose “gradually blossom” over the years. When she first started at Apparent Project, she seemed very reserved, and didn’t smile much. She was (and still is) a reliable & trustworthy employee, but her personality was hidden from me. However, over time I watched her smile & her fun-loving personality appear. Just like an “evening rose,” Yvrose gradually blossomed and seems to thrive at Apparent Project. Now she smiles a lot!

She was recommended by Kika, one of the 2 teachers who laid the foundation of our early education school. Kika said that Yvrose is excellent with kids. She is firm, but kind and patient with children, giving individual attention to kids who need help with their work.

Yvrose is an excellent worker who works well with the other teachers. She Is currently working as a teacher assistant to our head teacher, Maguy. They are an excellent team!  Thank you, Kika, for your recommendation! We are so grateful to have Yvrose as part of our Apparent Project family!

Yvrose shares…

Why did you want to work at AP? It’s her dream.

Are you happy working at AP? Yes, I’m living my dreams with my second family.

What do you enjoy about your job? Being with the children.

What is your dream? Open an orphanage or restaurant.

What do you love/like about Haiti? The culture.

Prayer requests: Change for Haiti and for AP to continue.

Chaos & oppression in Haiti block opportunities for the poor.

Apparent Project offers the quality education & job skills training needed to help the poor rise up out of poverty and become future leaders of integrity in Haiti.
