Daddy’s Little Girl

Daddy’s Little Girl

“Being a daddy’s girl is like having a permanent armor around the rest of your life.” ~Marinela Reka

So often stories are told of absent fathers, or single moms without support, and the challenges that this situation creates. But that is not always the reality, and a large percentage of the children who are part of Apparent Project Childcare and School have their fathers in their lives.

Today we snapped a shot of a father and daughter who adore each other. Dad is a moto driver (a motorcycle taxi driver in the city), who regularly stops by in between runs in the area. His daughter is always exited to see him and loves to peek under his helmet to look into his eyes and face.

Many fathers in our community walk their children to school, bring them lunches, care for the family, work hard, and genuinely love their children. They are showing their children the strength and tenderness of what it means to be a loving and caring man and father. They show their children what it means to be adored, to be protected, to work hard, to care about the value of education, and to navigate the tough realities of life.

We at Apparent Project are so grateful for the fathers who are part of the community. Who are not part of the negative statistics and stereotypes, rather are setting the example as responsible and loving men.
