HaitiTek is an 8 to12-week computer training system built on a framework that has already helped hundreds of students across Haiti master computer basics… most with no prior access to computer training at all… and becoming computer literate within the 8 to12-week window.
The Train-the-Teacher edition does two things at once: you build on your current computer knowledge, developing additional practical skills, and you learn how to teach those same skills to your students.
By the end, you’re not just a confident computer user… you’re a certified HaitiTek trainer, ready to bring this curriculum into your own classroom.
What You'll Learn
The Framework (Basic Program)
Where to Start… It’s important to be able to build. The modules are ordered in the most productive way. Each module builds on the previous modules, bringing success throughout the course.
Teaching Tips (Advanced Program)
Methods that help students to learn. Every session teaches you a skill and shows you how to teach it through demonstration, hands-on practice, and feedback. Students learn by doing, not by watching.
Computer Basics
Over 8 to12 weeks you’ll move from the basics to the productivity tools used in schools & workplaces everywhere:
- Typing & computer fundamentals… touch typing up to 15+ words per minute, plus how a computer actually works: its parts, how to handle files, and how to navigate with confidence.
- Windows & navigation… the desktop, managing windows, mouse skills, file organization, and the keyboard shortcuts that make work faster.
- Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets… entering data, building formulas, using functions like SUM, AVERAGE, and IF, and turning numbers into charts.
- Microsoft Word/Google Docs… formatting professional documents, using styles, and adding images and tables.
- Microsoft PowerPoint/Google Slides… designing clean presentations and delivering them with confidence.
We use EdClub for typing practice and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace for everything else. Professional tools you and your students can keep using long after the program ends.

What You'll Earn
Basic Program Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion that recognizes the technical skills learned.
Advanced Graduates earn a HaitiTek Trainer Certification that recognizes both your technical skills and your ability to teach the HaitiTek curriculum to your own students.
To certify, you’ll:
- Type 15+ words per minute and pass the module quizzes
- Complete a hands-on project using Sheets, Docs, and Slides together
- Deliver a 15-minute teaching demonstration
You finish the program ready to bring HaitiTek into your own classroom… fully equipped to teach this curriculum to your students.
