Elsie has been working at Apparent Project for over a year.
I don’t have the stories to tell… yet! But I can say that she is a genuinely happy person. So much joy radiates from her to those around her. And she loves to hug!
She is one of those “unsung heroes” working in the background… She works in the 2 story building where the elementary school, AP Institute job skills training, admin office and guest rooms are all located! Somehow she works around all the activities and gets the job done… with a smile on her face!
She seems to “be in her skin” at Apparent Project. Her joyful & fun spirit works well when there are kids laughing and playing and causing all kinds of interesting interactions. Elsie loves them well! And she gets along with the staff. It’s a pleasure to be around her!
In time, there will be Elsie stories to tell! And they will be full of JOY… and FUN! It’s who she is!

Why did you want to work at AP? I was substituting for a friend at AP.I fell in love with the staff and the organization.
Are you happy working at AP? Yes Why? I feel free at AP. If I’m sad, it’s not because of AP.
What do you enjoy about your job? I love being around the children.
What is your dream? To have a business and to finish my house.
Tell me a little about your family. I have five children, 2 boys and three girls. I’m married and love going to church.
What do you love/like about Haiti? I love Haiti because its mine!
