2021 – A Year of Blessings!

2021 – A Year of Blessings!

It’s a couple days after Christmas, and I’m scrambling to finish what needs to be done by the end of the week.
I’m sure many of you have similar challenges.  Hopefully, your Christmas celebrations were filled with joy & peace!
May Your 2022 be overflowing with His blessings!

You have been on my mind. Who are “you?” So many groups & individuals are the “you” that this note is for…
There are literally 1000’s of people who have been part of the AP story over the last 12+ years. There have been many challenges… political unrest, natural disasters, growth pains, and more! But Apparent Project is thriving!
He did it!
Apparent Project was God’s idea. And we did it with Him! Because an army of people all over America banded together to support a small group of individuals who were trying to follow His lead… much has been accomplished.

  • Many have been supportive through prayers, friendship, gifts of time & finances for over a decade! Thank you!
  • Many have donated time & resources to sell Haitian goods at parties & events … and through personal fundraising efforts throughout the US & Canada. Your efforts have helped fund our programs & pay our staff while helping to keep various artisans employed. Thank you!
  • Others have showed up at just the right time with the skills, resources, and emergency finances that we needed. As a result, our childcare & schools have grown! Thank you!

2021 Accomplishments

  • 25 Haitians are employed. Teachers & Support Staff provide a nurturing & quality environment for those we serve.
  • 70+ kids are enrolled in our programs! Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers & Elementary through 4th grade.
  • 25+ teens & adults participate in our Job Skills program (Basic English & Computer training)
  • An advanced software training has begun! (Includes courses in Python, HTML, Java Script, and more.) Vince, an experienced software engineer, with a natural ability to teach, and with a heart for the Haitians we serve, has launched the program! Pierre & Hacheley, his first students, love the program & are doing well!
  • The USA “sales” program, based on “gatherings” has been re-building after a struggle during the Covid lockdown.

But… the greatest accomplishments have occurred in the lives of our Haitians friends!

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of lifeProverbs 13:12.

  • Despair has been replaced with hope & vision, with an ability to see a better future for themselves & their families. They’ve received permission to dream!
  • Beggars have become responsible & diligent workers providing for their families. They are landowners, building their own homes. They acted on their dreams!
  • Children, teens & adults are all receiving the quality education needed to become more employable, to become responsible citizens who will make a positive change in their culture. Their thinking has changed. They know they’re capable of great things! We are “Building Future Leaders!”

From my experience in the past decade… Haitians have always welcomed prayer. They have always cried out to God. They still do. I’ve seen their cries of desperation. But now I often see joy & gratitude in their times of prayer & worship! They are experiencing a new life! The seeds “you” sowed into their lives are producing good “stuff” in their hearts & is evident in their daily lives! Their lives have changed.

Of all people, I feel like I’ve been blessed the most. It is such a privilege to be able to rejoice with our Haitian staff, friends & families. They have developed a sense of value & significance & have hope for their future.

Thank you to our “sales” force – those who have resumed “gatherings” to sell Haitian goods! Your contribution of time & resources helps fund our programs & keeps Haitian artisans working.
Thank you to those who contribute financially on a regular basis! Your monthly donations & other generous gifts help provide stability and enable us to grow!

Thanks to all of you for your part in “Building Future Leaders” in Haiti.  We appreciate how you have contributed to the lives of our Haitian friends and families!

May you be richly blessed throughout the New Year!

Chaos & oppression in Haiti block opportunities for the poor.

Apparent Project offers the quality education & job skills training needed to help the poor rise up out of poverty and become future leaders of integrity in Haiti.
