Apparent Project staff works alongside the Haitian company that employs our artisans.
We are working to help empower our artisans with additional training and skills, providing additional services to help them be able to work, and facilitate shipping and distribution of items they produce.
We are grateful for so many Haitians who have embraced the opportunity to work and learn new skills. They are now able to change the course of their lives and the lives of their children!
Marilyn –AP Director
Marilyn has been part of the Apparent Project from the beginning, first as a Board Member, then as the USA Director of Operations. In October 2013, she took over as Director. She is in contact with the many people who have come alongside AP to help. It is through the efforts of our USA staff, the volunteers who help us here at our USA location, and the generous support of people throughout the entire USA (and from other countries) that we have been able to help empower our Haitian friends.
We are grateful for all the support we have received!
Our US Staff
AP Haiti Childcare
Our AP Haiti Childcare provides on-site care for infants & toddlers that are at risk. This removes a barrier that could prevent a mother or father from working.
The AP Institute offers training in computer and English skills for artisans, something that has been unavailable for most of our Haitian workers. This provides our artisans to advance in their jobs, and will provide more employment opportunities for them in the future.
AP Guest House
Our AP Guest House helps facilitate groups & individuals that visit Haiti or who are involved in training artisans in a skill.
