Where are we headed?

Where are we headed?

Many late night talks have gone into what exactly we want to do here, what long term goals do we have, where do we want to be in five years, and what would we like to have accomplished. Our debate usually revolves around narrowing down our passions and ambitions as there is just so much to do here and one can easily get overwhelmed and spread too thin.

Our intentions and mission statement remains the same. To be advocates, facilitators, and promoters of families and families staying together. The application of how to do that becomes much more complicated as we get to know the complexity of Haitian culture and the evils of poverty and it’s role in the destruction of families.

We will be finishing off the year at the boys home with a smile on our faces. The boys are wonderful and we have been blessed to be a part of their living arrangement. We know and knew all along, that we can’t raise our daughter in an all boy house and so we are planning a transition to our own living quarters next summer. We hope to still be involved here at the home, but will have to determine what needs the orphanage has for us and those kind of details.

Our long term goal it to open a facility that is for families to be strengthened. We would like to have a guest house, use the facility for training for artisans and craftman, and work in prayer ministry for those affected by poverty and family loss. We truly believe that the change in a person must come from their insides being restored and healed by Jesus. We would like to have teams come from the United States, Canada, Europe and beyond to minister to the hearts of Haitians, missionaries, children, and babies while also equipping families to be able to support and sustain themselves.

Corrigan continues to work with his media and videography skills to publicize and promote other organizations who also have a heart for strengthening and building Haitian families. His recent video for God’s Plumbline ministries has been a great success allowing them to clearly relay the work that they are doing to many people abroad.

We are praying for likeminded co-laborers, financial partners, prayer support and for clear direction from God. He has been showing us more of himself and teaching us more than we could ever have imagined. We are so greatful.
