The Apparent Project has received a little more press than usual lately. Here are some of the news articles (and a t.v. spot) about us:

Big Picture

During the earthquake relief, the internet is s source for a lot of information for us here on the ground. Particularly helpful is the Corbett list serve, which sends me everything from forwarded headline news stories to advice on where to find help for people, to personal requests from aid workers and friendly debates over relief strategies. I have pasted some of my favorite links below. I find that these provide a helpful picture of Haiti right now. The first article is AMAZINGLY written and captures a real, heartfelt glimpse of both Haiti and the tragedy. The second two give more info than some of the more mainstream articles about the spiritual vibe on the streets here. I will write more on this in my next post.

Chaos & oppression in Haiti block opportunities for the poor.

Apparent Project offers the quality education & job skills training needed to help the poor rise up out of poverty and become future leaders of integrity in Haiti.
