Hard Day..

Hard Day..

It started out with realizing that I had been stolen from again. I went to go get my money out to pay for the painting on two houses when I realized that over $350 had been taken. It was the third time in the last ten days and I didn’t know what to do. I asked several of the workers if they knew what had happened and accusations started to fly. It came down to two very precious young men, one who lives with us that we are pretty certain took it. Hard day. If I kick him out and I am wrong, I do a grave injustice, but if I let him stay and he keeps stealing, the whole business could be wrecked.
Right now Corrigan is gone, we haven’t had city power since the storm and I am out of gas for the generator. The money was for the generator and for food and for paying the ladies. Now I have no credit card ( corrigan took it to the states with him), no food literally, no diesel, can’t pump water because I don’t have electricity, and am totally frustrated.
I gave the kids a pop tart and I have some peanut butter and a few tortillas…. maybe one of my poor Haitian friends can lend me some food until Corrigan gets back…. this is rediculous.

Update.. I managed to find the one checkbook we had left and was able to buy food and diesel for the guesthouse. We’ve all moved into the guest house for now. A team of doctors will be coming in the morning to see 150 patients and hopefully we’ll sell some more jewelry too!
