Basket Makers

The Apparent Project baskets are a recent addition drawing from a traditional Haitian industry. The baskets are made completely from renewable Haitian plant materials, which are purchased from local markets. Our basket makers live in the community in which our artisans' guild is located, and their amazing skill and eye for quality quickly drew our attention. They have developed basket concepts based on their new global clientele, and we are so proud of their incredibly fine work. They are also very happy to have their unique craft noticed by a broader audience. We are so excited to partner with craftsmen and women who are already creating such excellently executed and authentically Haitian products.
